Kamal F. Busaidy, BDS, FACS, FDSRCS
Dr. Busaidy is a Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Dentistry and serves as Medical Director for UT Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Busaidy completed dental school in 1992 at the University of London, in England before obtaining a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1995. Thereafter, Dr Busaidy completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at UTHealth before joining the teaching faculty at The University of Texas in 2002. As part of his clinical duties at the university, he teaches dental students and surgical residents in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Busaidy directs the Hinds Academy Center for Clinical Simulation at UTHealth School of Dentistry. He is an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Busaidy’s main clinical interests are orthognathic and reconstructive surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, dental implants and surgical management of impacted teeth.
Dr. Busaidy lives in Houston with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he volunteers for Shifa USA, a 501(c)3 providing health care and shelter to the less fortunate in Houston.
