Christopher S. Daniel, DDS, MD, FACS

Dr. Christopher Daniel is an assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Dentistry and serves as director of undergraduate OMS education.

Dr. Daniel comes to UT OMS with over a decade of private practice experience in a group practice setting in Northern California. Although he practiced in beautiful Sonoma County, Dr. Daniel is a Texan through and through. He was born and raised in San Antonio and completed all of his professional education and training here in the Lone Star State.

Dr. Daniel is an assistant professor and director of undergraduate oral and maxillofacial surgery education. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a fellow of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. In addition to his passion for health care education and teaching the next generation of providers, he is also interested in health care entrepreneurship, having co-founded a biotech startup.

Dr. Daniel’s primary interests lie in providing undergraduate students and dental specialty residents with a solid foundation in the principles and application of dentoalveolar and dental implant surgery.
