Dr. Phillip Freeman is an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Dr. Freeman is board-certified in both Plastic Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a past examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

His clinical interests include facial cosmetic surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, and tissue-engineered muscle for volume replacement in the cleft lip patient.

Dr. Freeman practiced plastic surgery for 23 years before joining the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UTHealth. He strives to achieve excellence in surgical care to improve quality and outcome, reduce complications and thus lower the cost of care.
